Rules - Payouts - Placing bets

This version of Ride'em Poker uses a single standard deck of 52 cards. The deck is shuffled after each hand.

The bets:

Select a chip denomination and click within the circle marked with a dollar sign '$' to place your bet.  Please be aware of the bet limits displayed on the table.

Players may also place a side-bet whereby they can earn an additional, and much larger, bonus payout for particular winning hands.

The Cards:

Cards are ranked in order of their face value,  Aces are considered high (meaning they satisfy the "tens or better" criteria), but they may be used to complete high straights (10, Jack, Queen, King Ace) or low straights
(Ace, 2, 3, 4, 5).

The Deal:

Three cards are dealt face up to the player, followed by two cards (called the Community cards) face down.  The player then has the choice of raising his or her bet by the same amount of the initial bet, or passing.  Once the decision is made the first of the community cards will be revealed.  The player is then given a second and final chance to raise or pass before the last community card is revealed and the game is completed.

The player is paid based on the rank of the five card poker hand made up of the three player cards and the two community cards.
